picked up a used SBE2, not sure it was ever cleaned, cycles great, tried removing the cap on the recoil spring and man it's tight, don't wanna break anything, put some compressed air through and lots of sludge came out the drain hole, assume it needs to be cleaned, any tips? Thanks

I did my buddy's SBEII and the nut was stiff. It is an older model and had some thread locker on it that I softened with a heat gun but apparently the newer ones have a nylon lock on it that would make heat a bad idea. By the way the flats are 17mm on the nut.

I did a friends M2 20ga I wrapped the tube with leather and gently clamped it in a vice .a bit of heat and it came free but did take a bit of force .
