Removing Slide Roll Marks

This is a picture from Armco as an example, What would be the best way to remove the slide markings.

I'm not trying to fool anyone with it, I would just prefer to not have a franken gun, ie Colt frame STI slide etc.

Yeah... depending on depth you could have the entire frame machined back... other than that I'm not sure.

I would say milling machine and/or surface grinder.

If this were my slide I would spend about 1 hour with a file and draw file the markss out then polish with sandpaper . The price of a good file and your job is done. Take your time and it will turn out 100%.

Do a search there have been a couple of gunnutz who have done it to Norinco 1911's and it turned out quite nice.IIRC it was posted in the pistol forum.
