Removing stock from action. cooey 84

Best shotgun there was!!!!

Forstock jsut snaps off when pulled down on the front.
Buttstock needs a big long shanked flat screwdriver for some, and about a 7/16 socket with a long extension for others.
Its just a long bolt, you can see it easy when you look down the hole with a flashlight or sunlight.
If your planning on redoing the stock, use english chestnut minwax stain. its the closest ive seen to the original color. And dont sand the wood around the breach, if you do, you will take off to much wood and the friggin steel edges on the sucker is mega sharp on some. If the forstock spacer comes off hard, it may be rubbing or catching on the steel parts where the hanger on the lower of the barrel enters the slot in the vcenter of the forstock. this can be remedied by taking a milk juck and building a spacer to put between the forstock wood and the hinge spacer, (on the end of the forstock where it meets the hinge). The wood shrinks on some and the tolorance gets smaller, thus changing the dimensions of the forstock wood.
Any more questions just pm me and i will email you pics. i would post them on this thread but i dont know how. Ive redone a whack of them and made alot of "chicken sandwiches out of chicken sh!it". lmao
good luck!!
