Having a hard time getting the flash suppressor off.

I'm really trying to baby it as I dont want to strip the threads, or something like that.

I'm following the manual.

Not sure if/or how much heat I should use and is it safe on the barrel?

Any tips?

Thanks in advance!

You are aware there is a locknut and then the flash hider it self?

Use two wrenches, one on the locknut and turn that one towards the chamber and the other wrench on the flash hider it self and screw it the opposite way (off the barrel) and don't be afraid to funkin giver

It won't budge until you loosen that locknut off the flash hider

Yeah, aware of the locknut.
I have never removed it before and afraid Im going to stripe the threads. I thought I'd ask for a couple tips, but I guess I am going to have to "funkin giver!"

You definitely won't strip any threads, the only way you could do that is if you were tightening instead of loosening. just make sure you have good wrenches that are the proper size so they don't slip off and just position yourself so you have maximum leverage.

I have heard of guys using heat in the scenario before but I don't recall ever hearing about it on a tavor, mine came off pretty easy compared to some other rifles.

ok, sounds good.

You didnt use a barrel vice by chance did you, or just a standard bench vice?

Thanks for the help, much appreciated!!!!
