Removing the bolt from a BSA Majestic???

A book of "Modern Firearms" says about BSA rifles.......under the "disassembly" paragraphs for your type of action it says "to remove the bolt, slide it halfway back and then, pressing the trigger forward HARD, slide the bolt out......also says...It works..!

Weird, mine has zero forward movement, I do nothing more than open the bolt, pull hard on the trigger, and out the bolt comes. No back and forth, the stock on, no holding anything anywheres, Just squeeze. Now that I know how it's the easiest of any rifle I've ever owned. I've noticed the with the bolt removed and the trigger pulled with anything less than a firm pull the bolt stop will pop up, causing difficulty. Does your look like this? Hopefully this helps someone, mine was a pain until I realized a firm squeeze was needed.

The front half of the sear is the bolt stop,

here it is depressed with a hard pull the trigger

Which locks into this notch on the bolt,

On my older majestic, a FIRMtrigger pull is all that's needed any time that stop is not in its bolt notch and depressed by the bold body. You can just see but easily hear the bolt stop raise when I ever so lightly let up trigger pressure, which would cause the troublesome removal as it will pop into that notch everytime.
