Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has ever removed the peep sight on an enfield c #7 rifle. The pin that hols it onto the windage screw is SO SMALL in diameter that I can barely see it let alone find a tool to drive it out! Any ideas?

Yes, I've done it many times. It should only be removed if damaged...ie broken, corrosion, wear, seized. The Cno7 sight axis windage screw is staked with a pin that is driven through the windi=age knob on the bolt side of the rifle. Drive this out with a small punch (.050") and save. Unscrew the windage knob and save. Hold the sight body vertically and back off the windage screw. You do not drift this out like the No4. If you break the screw, which is high likely, PM me for a replacement. Ron

Thanks! Now to find that small punch!

I am replacing the sight because the elevation detent is stuck inside the shaft...hence, no click for elevation.

I appreciate the offer for replacement if necessary...thanks Ron.
