Removing the Safety

Does anyone know how to remove the safety on these b@st@rds?
I've been trying to drift out the pin it pivots on for the past two hours. Hammered it from both sides, just won't budge.

i DID IT A FEW TIMES. TRY WITH A PUNCHER IS THE BEST WAY, SOME LUBRICATION MAY HELP. I also tried heating it up with a lighter torch. Good luck.

Ok; I lubed it, heated it, smashed and bashed it... still won't budge.

Have you mooved its position ?
Sometimes the pin gets grooves worn it it and the spring presure pushes the safety lever into the wear grooves making damn near impossible to remove .
This may help , BTW , I wouldn't use heat on it .

I haven't moved it, and the spring isn't doing jack all... it's broken. That's why I'm trying to take it out, so I can fix the damn thing. I got everything else taken apart easily, it's just this damn safety.
