Removing Tikka recoil lug

So I just got a Manners stock for my Tikka and I need to get the recoil lug from the old stock into the Manners. Any ideas short of destroying the stock?

I'd just convert to a conventional remington style... I hate the Tikka system personally - although i love the rifles.

It's done that way on purpose, they determined that if floating the barrel worked, then floating the action would be even better.
