Remy 700 PSS?

A great platform to build a better rifle from.Good starter gun. Will shoot 3/4 with match ammo. Its long throated from the factory.Needs bedding and a trigger job for sure.

What Longshot sdaid, but they will shoot under 1/2 moa pretty easily when properly bedded and the trigger reworked. We sell alot of them to LE agencies after they are set up, and have yet to have 1 not shoot very well.

Very nice rifle..... shoots very tight groups out of the box. Only complaint I have is the trigger pull is very heavy, probaly about 9.5 pounds. Not too hard to get used too, even at that weight. If I new how to post photos I would show examples of some of the groups I have shot. They are as good as custom build rifle I have seen the groups of.

It's now known as the Remington 700P (Police), probably for politically correct reasons. Look up some reviews on google, the majority of them are good except for the odd guy who write a bad review because he expected a $10 000 match rifle.

The 700P action is set on aluminum bedding blocks, but you have to remember that these blocks are made print, within acceptable tolerances. If you want to acheive maximum accuracy, you should bed the action.

Mine in 223 with bedding, trigger tweeking, new crown, barrel cut to 22.5" for new chamber cut to NATO match specs with a 4x16x56 and my handloads shoots a steady 3/8" all day long. It has shot an impressive .219" one day.

P.S. Thanks Gordie
