Anyone using Renaissance Wax on their guns? Some of the guys on the Smith and Wesson forum are big fans. It certainly seems to make a blued gun look nice.

Yup, sometimes difficult to find but nice stuff a can lasts forever..

You'll like it it's top level stuff used by museums to preserve and protect valuable artifacts..

Yeah, the Wiki article i read said it was developed by the British Museum in the 1950's. Among other things they use it on their armour and edged weapons collections.

Yes actually got my first can from a dealer in swords, he recommended it highly..

I read that as well when I researched it's use..

You can also buy it from Lee Valley Tools but it's called Conservators Wax. It's the same stuff.

Yep, love it. A little goes a long way. I also got mine from Lee Valley.
