Renew expired PAL/RPAL

Just curious how much it costs to renew an expired PAL/RPAL? Do you have to go through the entire process again to renew or is it just paying a simple fee?

I called the guy that did my course/testing and he suggested I call the canadian firearms program, I was told I could juat submit the paper documents for renewal, I sent them off last week and waiting to see what happens

Mine expired in 2017 and I assumed I would have to redo the courses and testing, but it seems that unless you have firearms related offenses your passed tests remain in good standing.

i just went through this, there is a form for you to submit for renewal of an expired licence, i will find my pdf and let you know where to find it online.

the form you need to download and print is the 5592 (5592e) form. https://rcmp.ca/en/firearms/firearms-forms-and-reports#s1

i think for non resticted is around $65 and restricted/prohibited is $85ish
