renewing outdoor card

Pardon me if this question sounds odd.....are you fellows restricted by statute as to what kind of game you can hunt?
J Stuart.

I don't know about the rest of the provinces, but here in Ontario we have to buy a small game license every year. This Outdoor card that we are talking about, looks like a credit card, you can purchase the card with a 3 year small game hunting license and a 3 year fishing license. everyone that has a hunting version of the Outdoors card must have completed a Hunter Safety Training Course. Also, to hunt Wild Turkey in Ontario, you must have completed a Safety Seminar, and this will be reflected as a "T" on the Outdoors card.

After that you buy any species specific game seals, such as Deer, Bear, Moose, these are stickers that are applied to the back of the Outdoors Card, and in some instances Coyotes. The small game portion covers you for things like rabbit, squirrel, skunk, opposum etc..

Here is a link to the Ministry of Natural Resources

Hope this helps with your question
