Hello,

I have an old Crosman 1400 rifle and an old Crosman 600 pistol that I need to have resealed and brought back to life. Anyone know of a good repair shop for these in South Eastern Ontario?

Cheers,

Ian

Call Jocelyn at Cible Canada Target in Gatineau (just north of Ottawa). He and his sons are experienced air gun techs. They sell high end pistols and service many. They have provided me with odd size seals for my Drulov, Tau and Baikal. They may have the seals needed for those guns. That's a nice pistol you have....

I know several guys on the Canadian Airgun Forum have had good results using R & R Airgun Repair in Stonewall, Manitoba if your willing to ship the items.

Great! Thanks for all the options. I'm going to have to get on the phone and see what I can come up with. I'll post on here what I find out.

Very excited about getting the 1400 up and running again. Bought it new in the late 70's or early 80's I think when I was around 10-11. Totally forgot about it in my parents basement and when I found it again, it was all dried out and wouldn't hold air. I remember it was quite powerful, accurate and had pretty much zero recoil.

The 600 I picked up about 6 months ago or so. In the original rocket box with all paperwork and clearing rod. In amazing shape. Just leaks when charged. I imagine all the seals need to be replaced as well.

Cheers,

Ian

Have you tried a few drops of oil in the 1400? Crosman Pelgun oil, or Automatic Transmission fluid, or 30wt Non-deteregent oil should work. Open the pump arm, drop a few drops in and start pumpign. Sometimes the oil will help it seal up.
A full rebuild is best, but this is a quick way to get it shooting, if it works.
