I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with the new wood stocks that are coated with some kind of film that enhances the appearance to make cheap wood look like highly figured walnut. I'm looking at a gun that has this type of stock, and it has a nick in the cheekpiece that is very unattractive. I've raised dents in wood stocks with steam, and I've stripped and refinished others. I have no idea how, or if, damage to one of these new wonderstocks can be repaired. Any suggestions? Thanks
