Replace the Norc front sight? Hmmmm...

worst ever....I need just the front sight now. The base is a locking style, with castle nut and a Vortex FH, so I think that is all good. But this thing is just a bummer.
Leaned so far over to the right it was crazy... still have to have the barrel checked for indexing though..
Anyone have any worse?
or source for a better replacement?

 
What I would really like here is a hooded front site( like the HK ) with a female dovetail so that I could just slide it onto the existing base.
Anyone?
I've looked at brownwells etc....I can only seem to find gas lock styles.
Help?
 
I like the NM front sights Smith Enterprise makes (.062")
$41 at Brownells. They have the standard front (.079") as well.
The gas lock sights are neat but they shorten your sight radius 5 and 1/2 inches.

You sure? They sent me a gas cylinder assy and piston not all that long ago.

Try ebay. I snagged a new NM front sight on ebay. Just need to keep checking.

there's not much in the way of square cuts on the splines or anywhere else!
I have a replacement coming from a CGN'r in Ottawa so we'll see how that goes!
