Any thoughts on replacement trigger suitable for hunting application with my model 700 ADL rifle? The stock trigger is quite stiff and I cannot seem to lower the trigger pressure to my liking. I have adjusted triggers on a Sako and River stock triggers before and have been able to get them set up quite nicely but I am having problems with my Remington. Is there any suggestions on a good after market brand?
Thanks

Take the gun apart. Flush the trigger with lacquer thinner, blow dry and adjust properly. A gun smith will do this for 50$.

I'm in both camps here. I have a Triggertech Primary on my Rem 700 in .243 (hunting rifle), and a Timney Hit on my Rem 700 in .223 (target rifle) - both are excellent as you would expect. But Dan is absolutely correct - clean out decades of gunk and neglect and fiddle with it a bit and you might get pretty close to what you want with the factory unit. Worth it to see where you end up.

The Walker trigger is actually a very good one as long as it is kept clean and adjusted properly

If you feel unsafe with the Walker because of the negative press, then the TriggerTech is the way to go IMHO.

Proper gun handling always trumps trigger/safety systems. EE.

I love Trigger Tech. I have two custom rifles with them and they are tremendous. Both of mine are the Primary models, set at 1.5 pounds, bloody awesome!
