I received the replacement bolt shroud for my RPR that fell in the range of serial numbers covered by the safety notice. When I put it on my bolt I found that it is a lot looser than the original bolt shroud. Has anyone else noticed that?

C'mon, RUGER...!

My RPR is one of the prime suspects, and I've sent in for the replacement.
But, so far (200rd) I've not had any 'issues', so maybe it's not going to be
"a Thing" with this one. We'll see how the new shroud fits when it arrives.
And hey, Ruger is touting this one as a "Precision Rifle", so the parts ought
to be 'precision fit', not loose and sloppy, especially since this is their second
try
at getting it right, eh?

C'mon, RUGER! Who's the engineer behind these booboos?

Read the recall bulletin. The original shroud was too tight and interfering with the cocking piece. The replacement is looser because its supposed to be.

Technically it is their third attempt at getting it right. The original RPR had a plastic one, the Enhanced had a tight aluminum one, and now we get a loose aluminum one.
