I recently purchased a Taurus PT1911 and discovered the rear sight set Screw was missing after shooting it at the range
. Rear sight had drifted way off. I've since contacted the dealer who referred me to the Taurus warranty/repair center (Snap shots, Quebec). They agreed to send me one but are not sure when the bulk shipment of replacement parts from Taurus will arrive. As a last resort i visited a local Brafasco. The sales guy actually gave it to me for free, but it's about two inches long.
Should i try cutting/breaking it to size? Or if someone knows where i can purchase it. Any info will be helpful.
