OK, I have had it with fixed sites, and one of the first set to be replaced is going to be the norc. My questions are many, but wil try to post only the major ones for now. Firstly, can the front post be changed out on these slides, and, if so, how easily. If this cannot be done, then I would assume I need a new slide. Recommendations? If it CAN be done, what sights (front and rear) would swap in with the least amount of smithing. If smithing is required, what kind of smithing (trying to stay away from any milling if possible). Lastly, I am keen on the white post sights (have heard some refer to them as "Dot the I" sights). Where can I find these in an adjustable configuration, or whom makes them? Also concerning the Dot the I sights, is there a company around that makes these for a number of pistols? I have a few others that could use this treatment as well, but am having great difficulty locating a manufacturer on the web, let alone a dealer. Thanks all!!

BTW, NORINCO, not Nornico....got rid of that one years ago ;)

I will deal with the 'rinco, The metal in these pistols is very hard and difficult to work with. This means have someone good do a dovetail for the front sight and pick a good adjustable sight for the rear. "rincos are great 1911s and well worth any time and money you put into it. Regards, Richard :D
