Replacement wood stock for SVT-40

Hey guys,

I noticed at the range today that my top hand guard has a slight hairline fracture in it. Does anyone know where we can get replacement stocks for the SVT-40?

Can you repair the crack with some sort of glue? There might be something that comes up on the EE (noticed one a few weeks back) but other than that I haven't seen a thing. Granted, I haven't really been looking but posting a WTB on the EE might net you some positive results.

Other than looking here, my only other recommendation would be checking ebay, I've seen a few on there over the last little while.

Possible to get Boyd's? Or is that the one rifle the don't make stocks for?

They'd do well to make a laminate with a reinforced recoil lug and wrist pin. Thumb hole Draganov style

Absolutely! Although, I think I remember hearing that very few are in the States due to import bans, and that is why there is very little after market for it. Personally, I if I can't repair this stock, I want a replacement one so I can put the matching serial one in mothballs to preserve it.

Gunbroker usually has upper hand guards for the SVT in their site, but Americans pay a lot more for SVT's so you'd be better off finding a local replacement
