Is it possible to replace the 8.5" Grizzly shotgun barrel into a longer barrel if I were to install a mag tube extension for the barrel ring to support? And does the remington mag extension fit a Grizzly shotgun?

you would have to have the extension tube threaded to take a mag tube cap to hold the barrel on.

In theory, anything is possible..... if you have the money and a burning desire. It would probably be much easier to sell the 8.5 and get the gun you want

Thanks for the info, but is an end cap still necessary? I was thinking that the extension mag would just replace and screw into the end cap of the 8.5 and the other end is already sealed. I was just concern about the position of the ring barrel if it will be supported properly.

it's necessary if you don't want the longer barrel to fall off. It really does need something to actually keep it on the gun ;)

you may not realize that the barrel ring location is different on the 8.5's. Take a close look at how everything is situated and then you'll understand. Anything shorter than 12.5 is an animal unto itself.

Just do what I did, I had Dlask make me a 14" barrel to fit my 8.5 shotgun. Cost 300 bucks. Trying to jury rig an extension sounds like a recipe for disaster. If you're going to do something, do it right.

For the price of the custom barrel, it really doesn't make sense to do it. You will end up with a shotgun with the proper length barrel, and a mag tube that only holds two rounds. Seems better to me to take the $300 and buy another Grizzly in the barrel length you want. Just my opinion, of course . . .

you can not compare a custom wingmaster shotgun such as dogzilla owns to a grizzly.thanks for your post dogzilla and the picture of your solution. it is a thing of beauty.

This gun is a specialty item, if you want firepower you go with a 20" inch full size shotgun with a plus 3 mag ext. I have a number of wingmasters to choose from, so this one is my range toy (yes it is restricted) but it does hold 3 in the tube, and with the longer barrel a plus 2 extension works excellant
