Hey guys,
I'm waiting on my Russian SKS to get here, and I'm already looking at what I can do to make the irons a bit better. From what I've read, the front post will cover an 8" target at 100yrds, which seems a little large to me. I won't be shooting the gun too much, but when I do, I'd like it sighted for 100-200. I've seen aftermarket posts you can put in, but can't seem to find much past fiber-optic that is available in Canada. Any suggestions?
Also, how do you find the rear sight. I think it'll be sufficient, but are you guys using anything different? I wanted to run a scope initially, but I don't want to make any permanent modifications to this one, all stock is fine for me thanks!
Finally, I'm seeing sight adjustment tools on most supplier sights, and I'm completely unfamiliar with them. Are they really need it, or does it make the job easier? Thanks in advance, I'll post some pictures when it gets here, hopefully next week. It's a '54 Tula.
