Now That Hornady 178gr A-Max is discontinued, what would be a good replacement for long range target shooting?

I have a 1:10 barrel in 308win., and shoot at 1km. So I look for the best bal. coeff possible for the twist rate.

Any suggestions? I have to start over all the super long process (but fun!) to find the load, fine tune-it, make the velocity/vs temperature curve, building charts up to 1km... So better to start with the best bullet!

I currently shoot 175gr SMKs and 178 A-Max out of my Rem700 with RL15 powder. The rifle likes both bullets, and surprisingly, I was unaware of the end of the A-Max...good thing I still have a few hundred on the shelf. In terms of the 200 grain and over low drag bullets, what kind of velocities are people getting? If memory serves, ~2500-2600 is pretty standard with the 175 class of bullets.

I've found the Lapua 185's to be one of the most accurate bullets I've shot. The 175 Hornady was quite good but they couldn't come close to the 185's,( in my rifle).
