repro leather sling aging

I just got a 1907 US repro sling, and it's pretty much virgin, pale, fresh leather. Anyone have any thoughts on how to make it look age appropriate to WW2?

Ollie,

Try rubbing a little olive oil into it,
this gives it a nice darker colour

I hear that sometimes people will drench them is tea or coffee to give them a darker look.

So did you pick this up in Japan?

thanks Cam, i think I'll do just that. It's a decent repro I picked up very cheap here in Taiwan. Maybe I'll post pics of the results, although I'm a little embarrassed to say what "gun" it's going on. On another note, anyone know where to get a set of real tommy gun wood?

As for the real tommy gun wood, try ebay and I bet it will be expensive.
