Request for Information about 308

I have 5 of them…….get one
Nice and versatile- you can get light bullets, heavy bullets…
Carbines are nice and short…ammo is available everywhere
What’s not to love?💕
 
One good thing about a 30-06 is that the longer actions allow for the bullets to be seated out further than the 308 which is mostly limited to an OAL of 2.8".

MDR has it nicely narrowed down, no matter what you think the right answer is, there is as many right answers as there are center fire calibers, and if you make a poll the one with highest fallowing will win, and any discussion will always always turn into mud swinging fest, I can respect the fact you like 30-06 for whatever are your reasons to like it, I dislike it for my reason and like another, neither one of us is wrong but many out there will froth at their keyboard trying to prove other side wrong
im just not into it :)
 
Whatever you use is special and great! Just like everything else haha.

It can be fun to go off into the particulars of things. And even educational yeah. Sets of advantages and disadvantages that may or may not ever even apply to any of us. Just plain thinking something is cool. History and panache. Whatever.


But when people (not saying anyone in this convo is) get too far into what is "best" it becomes unreasonable fast lol
