This is what I've seen as well, especially with 3 1/2" camo guns.

Yep unfortunately I learned that the hard way when trying to resell some I paid way too much for. Had a mint high gloss 3 1/2" browning gold last year just about had to give it away. Must have had 25 e-mails when it was on the EE Oh if it was camo I would take it. OH well live and learn:)

For me, it's walnut and bluing no matter what the purpose for the gun. Don't talk to me about blonde finishes, either.

This is simply my opinion - my personal preference, not to confused with any attempt to influence someone else's taste. I only mention it because individual tastes roll up to marketability, which is what the OP is wondering about.

I'll also go against the grain. I don't want cammo and I don't want 3 1/2" either, not even for waterfowl. I would bypass these guns if I was in the market. But like everything, this is a personal taste and opinion.

Camo is better for resale as marks and wear doesnt show. Wood marks up easily, and as I prefer it, it loses value quick. Black still shows marks, but camo is generally too busy to notice little stuff

Yeah, what buyer wants to see all the dents in the barrel and the cracks in the stock.
