Good morning CGN! I just finished purchasing my tags for this fall's hunting season and came to the realization that I am truly lucky to live and hunt the beautiful province of Saskatchewan. As I was purchasing my resident tags I realized how many big game hunting opportunities I get in this great province even though I was unsuccessful in the draw. I grew up hunting Quebec where the hunting pressure is heavy and tags are limited. If you are willing to travel and put time in the field you can have a busy spring/fall.
So, what tags does your home province allow you to get over the counter?
I'll start:
Quebec:
1x Either-### Whitetail Deer
2x Black Bear (one MUST be harvested in zone 10 if I remember correctly)
1x Moose (MUST be paired with one, two or three other hunters/tags for one animal depending on zones/ZECs)
Saskatchewan:
1x Either-### Whitetail Deer
2x Antlerless Whitetail Deer (available for certain WMZs)
1x Archery Mule Deer
1x Moose
1x Elk
1x Black Bear
1x Wolf
