Got a question regarding necking a 8mm Mag down to 7mm STW. Can I just run it through the STW sizer die? I have some Imperial sizing die wax.

I did notice that Redding makes a form & trim die for this purpose and not having done this before, wasn't sure if it was needed.
Some want to form a false shoulder, but it isn't necessary. Simpson designed the reamer to accomade the thicker neck you get from necking the 8 mm cases down and SAAMI followed suit. I've been shooting the STW since the beginning.
