Restarting K31 Production

Yes, they were made by Hämmerli in batches, which lasts for a few years.
Last price I heard for a complete K31 with W&F diopters from them was close to $1500.00 CAD, in the eighties.
They have since been sold to Walther in the last few years, and Walther doesn't seem to be interested in the project.

7.5 unobtanium is not unobtanium if you reload. New unprimed brass is available from Midway and Grafs, though I would not waste money on the Norma stuff which I suspect is made individualy on a jewelers lathe.;)

Midway does not sell to Canada. Trade Ex has Privi stuff for $64/100 and it seems like pretty decent stuff.

Seems it is cheaper to buy a new rifle rather than rebarrel an old one. We still have quite a few rifles with 7.51 and 7.52mm bores.

Also our gunsmith worked at Hammerli and is well versed in the K31 match rifle manufacture. He can also perform servicability checks, and tune barrel bedding and triggers to meet competition specs.

As for GP11 ammo, we have lots here, but I realize that that does not help the Americans. Actually it isn't often we get to say that.

Maybe when the local guns shops sellout of the $250 VG K31's the $2000 new production might look a little more attractive :)

Those Hämmerli Match K31 action rifles are nice. G&E also put some together.
