Hey All,
I just got back from this excellent Level III match, and I gotta say that the Club did a fabulous job of organizing and conducting the shoot. Chris K and all of the other organizers (sorry, can't remember all the names) worked their tails off to deliver a challenging and exciting 20-stage event.

I would say that the *very* cool trench-fighting stage was the highlight. It was a serious HOOT, and I would have happily done the stage 4 times in a row if the squad would have let me.

If folks are looking for an excellent event, keep an eye on the IPSCNB website for the next time Restigouche is hosting a shoot. You won't be dissapointed.:D

This was an excellent match last year, and it was only some serious family stuff which prevented me from making the trip over there this year... I'm really sorry I missed out.... Sounds like it was fantastic!

Still kicking myself in the A** for missing it. The guys up north always put on a good show and know the meaning of hospitality.

Congrats on another great turnout guys!

It was close, AG was doing well on Saturday so I sent him off to the Quebec ballet on Saturday nite. It worked as he was distracted and spent Sunday smelling his fingers and licking himself. ;)
Redhead narrowly escaped getting to know AG better early Sunday morning.:)

Good stages and ranges, the trench stage was a real blast, the hail and flying tents was a nice touch in the afternoon. I have a video on my phone and as soon as I figure out how to transfer it, I'll put it up someplace.

I shot with a squad of mostly new BBers, and was my usual sedate and quiet self. So hopefully they are not too badly warped now. Nice guys and some good potential there.

Missed Maurice, but found another CO to talk men in chains with.

Your welcome :D

Enough can't be said on how great these folks treat us and how much effort they put into this match.

Thanks again guys and you can count on us being there again next year.

Cheers,
Rob

PS, Any results yet? We had to skip out before the last squad finished.

wish I could have made it, had to work, couldn't keep myself away from the pungent odours!:p

Well it was my first match, first time touching my gun since last October. My aim was to go out and unwind after a very stressfull last few months and relax, enjoy myself and have fun with the guys. Being competitive was the last thing from my mind.;)
I have to once again extend a very grateful thank you to all the guys up there and all their selfless hospitality. It was very much appreciated. the hospitality extended by the NB guys was second to none. Great match, great guys, great fun. It was too bad about the weather, but I wouldn't let a little rain dampen my spirits.:)
The match was great, stages were great and very fun to shoot. The burgers were to die for, I think it was Roger's wife that was the cook. Lucky guy he is.;)
Highlights for the weekend for me were, meeting Chris and Alice. Very very wonderful people. The social was alot of fun and lots of laughs. Alice's trip into town from the range was very cool on Sunday...:p The scandal in the church community that Cliff and I started on Sunday morning was quite entertaining as well.:D The ballet was very very nice. I enjoyed it too much. Very friendly, helpful, and professional ladies at the ballet. Had no problem with helping me count my money when the evening was drawing to a close.:)
I must admit though, I definitely had enough pussy to last me quite some time. Next to impossible to get any sleep. Throw it in the floor, and right back in the bed with ya, rubbin and rubbin and rubbin. Never have I seen a pussy that friendly. She was starved for affection for sure.
Really glad I went, other than Cliff's teasings and sarcasm the weekend was really fun. Only wish I could make it again next year.
AG.

there are more pictures on the IPSC NB website, under 2006 matches.
Cool trenches, very courageous stage. (that's my new word for cool stages and cool runs at stages:p )

No DQ's in the match. I was with a squad of newer shooters, closest I came to worrying was when they would run by one the targets hidden in the walls of teh trench and try to stop and come back. But the trench was wide enough to be behind their 90, probably us experienced shooters were more of a danger cause we were pushing the limits a little more. I know I left some blood on that range. But I was trying to beat AG's time, not shoot it at my own speed. So I screwed up pretty good. :) but what a blast shooting that stage. The designer and builder is a relatively new shooter, so I'm looking forward to what he comes up with next year.

OK, as promised video from my camera. file name is trench.3g2
supposedly readable by windows media player ver 9. Don't know, I have ver 10 and it won't read it. It comes up as a realplayer file to me, and I have heard that quicktime will read it. recorded with Palm treo 650. video is supplied as is, where is, with no implied or expressed guarantees as to function or fun. supplier takes no responsibility to uncontrolled outbursts of "wow", "neat" or "cool". Any sudden urges to jump up and go shooting are entirely the responsibility of the viewer.

Windows Media Player wouldn't take it on mine either...it came up by default as Quicktime. Picture and Sound are excellent.

I guess they are really raising the bar for stages now. Top level entertainment in my book.
