Restigouche County Sport & Gun Club Summer Slam III - 1&2 July 06

Sounds like a mini work out. ....Did you wear your work out spandex shorts ?:p

They are having another match on the 16th (next weekend), I seriously might drive the extra hour to make it. That stage looks like a lot of fun!

This stage was certainly the highlight of the match for me.:)

One thing I'm wondering about... how close does the RO need to be to the shooter for the hand-held timer to record the shots? You might notice in the video that the shooter quickly outpaced the RO. Were all of his shots recorded by the timing device?

Could a fast runner get a one(+-) second advantage if the RO wasn't as nimble?

not sure, but should be within' 6 metres.
Pretty sure I am going as well as John K from this area.

Yes, but if the RO can't keep up with the shooter, then he might not be close enough to record the "actual" last shot(s) fired. Thus the shooter might get a time advantage.

Perhaps for that stage, the shooter should be wearing the timer and the RO does his best to keep up and watch for safety infractions.

I see what you are saying, but if the RO can not keep up with the Shooter (which is very possible), than the RO has a responsibility to excuse himself from RO'ing the shooter, and find someone else that can. Hard to say, unless there COF requires and hits are visible for (example) 32 rd rounds, yet the timer only accounts for 28............
