Restock on 20rd MRX magazines for MRA Renegade Rifles

How do I go about doing this so the mag remains legal? I'm confused.
It remains legal because those mods do not allow it to fit into a semi automatic center fire rifle. They simply allow reliable function in the MRA Renegade MkII. The mods we are talking about that would be illegal are the removal of the raised ribs on the sides of the mags. That mod would allow the mag to fit rifles like the AR15 etc.

Got a pair of mrx mags today, went to try them and I can not even get them in the mag well on the renegade. When I caliperd them they were longer front to back than any of my other mags (which do fit and drop free.) Width seems to be the same.

Any ideas¿ or just sand them to fit¿ take a little of the front and back

I’m not a legal expert…. But, as a former gun plumber I must agree with Moe.

I’m pretty sure you cannot “alter” a magazine. That would make the magazine a prohibited device…. As it would then fit into any rifle that accepts a STANAG magazine…

You can however alter a manual action firearm to accept these magazines… Our laws make no sense…

I had that problem too. Besides removing material from the back as discussed earlier I also had to remove with a file some material from the back of the mag and a little sanding of the corners until they would work drop free. Just keep taking a little material off and rechecking in the lower for fit. Pay attention to where it is making hard contact and work that area.

You have a good point. But I think that "modification" is such a broad term, that even those that make up the rules cannot clearly define this. case in point - a bit of filing to correct fitment should be considered very different from drilling out the rivet in a capacity-restricted P-mag. But then again, we live here
