Restocking a marlin xt22m?

Thinking of a Boyd's rimfire stock or maybe one of those odd looking evolutions(if I can finally decide wether they are good looking or butt ugly).I understand the xt takes the same stock as the 900 series. My question is wether they are lighter or heavier than the factory hardwood?Thanks

The rimfire hunter I put on my 60 definitely made it heavier,but it was well worth it.

I run one on my XT-17 marlin and it is not bad for fit and comfort, it's kinda heavy with the heavy barrel it should be less front heavy with the sporter barrel. I'm making a custom stock for mine and if it works out well I want to make copies and sell them. I should have pics up by the end of the month.

Think i'm going to roll the dice and order one .Can't imagine it being heavier than the factory hardwood because ,at present ,the rifle is heavier than my .243.Boyd's says the average weight of rimfire hunter stock is 2.3 lbs.Before i order,i think i'll pull off the factory stock and weigh it.Willing to bet it's heavier.
