I'm thinking of restocking my Lee-Enfield. It's a late Faz (1950's) I was told when I purchased it that it had been used as a drill rifle, but was basically unfired (from the condition of the metal that's a real possibility all matching and original finish on the mag floor plate, no marks on the bolt head or firing pin tip) but the wood has been dinged and the butt plate looks like a parade square veteran. So, my question - has anybody dealt with Springfield Sporters and are the 'new' beech wood (Faz) stocks a worthwhile replacement. (BTW this rifle is currently stocked in walnut, which is pretty weird for it's era)

MK2 furniture

Search ebay for enfield forearm or Enfield stock. Vendor named dodge77vashti usually has MK2 forarms, usually beech, some new. Kim gets his stuff from England. He's in New Mexico.

Springfield Sporters is excellent, Kim on Ebay also good. If Springfield says they have good stuff, it will be. They will ship to Canada but you have to give him a credit card number and don't ask how much shipping will be or he won't deal with you...he's reasonable.

I have dealt with Springfield Sporters and got good service on some Mauser items. There are aother options for "new" beech wood sets and indvidual components.
