Finished my #4mk2 !! Now to find out how it shoots. The more I read, the more worried I am. It seems damn complicated reading about the bedding of these rifles. I'll be honest... I gathered the pieces and put it together. We'll see how it shoots this weekend....

It's not as tough as it sounds. Search for posts by BigEdP51 on here. He has done several excellent write ups on the do' sand don'ts of it. I personally wouldn't use Devcon to bed a milsurp, wood is how it was done and by figuring it out the old fashioned way you will learn a lot about your rifle, how it works and you will even learn some issue solving things for down the road when you have another one that has a problem. That's what I did with the help of others on here (especially Louthepou). If you run into trouble just stop, then send Lou or myself or any of the other guys on here who are into restorations a pm and we will help.

You may want to take that swivel off the front band. I don't believe No 4's were typically issued with a piling swivel.
