how much does original furniture raise the value of an Enfield? say, a 1949 Mk 111. how about one that has been sporterized but hasn't been cut down, so it has potential for a restoration?

i would guess $200 or so. am i close, or is it higher?

A nicely "desporterized" No1Mk3 could reasonably be sold for $300 in my opinion.

But that'd be for a rifle that received more than just parts slapped on it. Personally I probably put between 10 and 20 hours in a refurb job.

Done it many times. Bought a sporter for $100 and then purchased replacement milspec wood and metal parts for $200. Ended up with a $250 parts rifle. ????

I stumble upon something old and rare, sold as just another sporter. I then spend years working on it, gathering up hard to find parts and restoring it. So many years pass that I loose track of how much time and money I spent on it. I end up with another $250 reworked rifle ????
