Restricted ammunition

Does it matter? If they want to enforce a store policy that is their perogative. I agree there is no such thing as "handgun ammunition" and that a PAL is all you need legally to buy but if a store has that policy it's their right to do so and it's your right NOT to shop there if you disagree with it.

It matters to me because I'd like to know which retail locations are enforcing this type of store policy. How am suppose to NOT shop there if no one tells me who they are?

Now, to the two previous posters, who please...

To the best of my knowlege none of them are CGN sponsors. Most are little hole in the wall shops owned by fudds.

OR it's an employee that is ignorant of the law and therfore makes up his own rules and it's not a real store policy.

I recall a few threads on the topic I think one person mentioned WSS, but I know my local store doesn't care, so it must have been an employee making up his own "policy".

"restricted ammo"

actually, there is restricted ammo. explosive rounds/shotgun"FLESHETTES" and i believe tracers.:stirthepot2: yes,i realize inquiry was about 9mm.

That stuff isnt restricted it prohibited. And its spelled "flechettes" BTW

Tracers aren't prohib, they're just awefully hard (near impossible) to get into the country. I've seen a few around though.

As already mentioned, explosive projectiles, fleshettes (which are ridiculously crazy intense) and obviously armor piercing bullets are prohib.

As far as rounds for restricted handguns go, you can buy whatever you want with just your PAL.

I'd say "obviously" you need to do more reading and less sharing your "knowledge" with people that might actually take what you post as fact.

Armour piercing ammo is not prohibited....in fact, some of our sponsors sell it.

Prohibited ammo: incendiary, explosive, flechette, handgun cartridges designed to defeat bullet proof vests.

That's it.

I am not going to throw any business under the proverbial bus. I told them why it was a poor policy and who knows maybe they have changed since then.

I was just sharing an experience I had.

Sure...

It's nice to know you feel obligated to the retailer, who for no good reason, tried to enforce a ridiculous store policy upon you. I guess it wouldn't help if I promised to call and verify their policy?

Something's off with your story, just my .02 cents.

P.S. You could even PM me if you wanted to keep it ultra super uber secret!

Getting a little dramatic aren't we?
Look... I was just sharing an experience I had in the last year. Don't let it keep you up at night.

Edit: I don't give a sh@t if you believe me. I didn't think this was earth shattering news just one of those things I was going to share as information.

Why do I get the feeling you'll end up saying something that will get your name all pretty and pink in the near future?

Headshot- I'm not trying to be mean, but I have a feeling you'll take it that way.

People who are agressive and stir up trouble don't tend to last long around here. Feel free to ask any question you like, but try to be respectful about it. I've seen you around a few of the same threads I've been in lately and you seem to have a very - for lack of a better word - demanding, tone. If you lighten it up just a bit, add a smiley here and there, crack a joke, people are more likely to answer your questions.

I'm not trying to be a douche (it comes naturally to me!) but in my CGN experience honey gets you ALOT farther than vinegar.

You're just upset because I rubbed you the wrong way in another thread (Where you posted an image that clearly poked fun at disabled people).

Now you feel it necessary to publicly flog me (not before sheepishly trying to offer some sort of olive branch?) because you didn't appreciate my tone? Please.

I think I asked a fair question. It was evaded. I deduced my own conclusion.

I'll try to steer clear of you in future.

No need to try. There is such thing as an "ignore list" on CGN.

I guess comments like these are intended to be non-condescending? Pot calling the kettle black?

After reading through the thread it seems like you came out and purposely attacked headshot with this:

And all he/she did up to that point was ask who...

Anyways ladies, back to the original topic.

.

and that wasn't condescending???

Anywho I shall now leave this thread never to return! It's about time I got off the internet and go in search of my next-ex-wife!

This is an odd thing to say. Who gives a poop! Let it go.
