Restricted at Hunting Camp

Doesn't hurt to write your MP #####ing an wining in numbers get them worked up. My late uncle used to bring his 38 service revolver hunting in the 60's for grouse and signals. Today, if it were allowed I'd have a handgun when pushing bush. Leaves both hands free for climbing over obstacles, and up steep grades. Yes, that's a argument that using one is SAFER!

What is even more retarded is not being allowed to discharge your restricted firearm on your own property, even if you lived at the North Pole.

Its retarded that you can not use a restricted on your own property, or carry one to defend yourself or save your own life from bears in the woods without a proper carry permit which are difficult to get without some claw marks in your body!

If you are "living" in a hunting camp for a week or so is that not your place of residence? I'm not saying that you can blast beer cans off stumps or drag in around uncased with you any more than you can in your own back yard but shouldn't it be legal to have it left in the camp?

In the same way when Canadians travel to compete in IPSC they temporarily live in hotels, friends houses, their cars etc.

I wonder if the gun cops would accept a GPS coordinate as an address. That might be a fly in the ointment.
