Regarding having a restricted firearm sent to the post office via registered mail - Does anyone know if there's a limit to how much time the post office will hold on to the parcel before pickup?

My issue is that I'm away at work for 6+ weeks at a time, and of course I don't know when the firearm will be sent in the mail. I was going to call the post office in question but they are closed until tomorrow and I want to FOMO on a purchase here...
Any alternative suggestions are greatly welcomed as well!

Thanks in advance

Q: How Do I Put Mail on Hold?

A: To put your mail on hold

Purchase the Hold Mail service at least five business days before you want your mail to be held.

You can do it online with a Canadian credit card and a valid email address.
You can buy the service at a post office – save time by filling out the Hold Mail order form in advance. You will need to show government-issued photo ID like a driver’s license, passport or citizenship card.
If you are holding someone else’s mail, you will need to show authorization to act on their behalf. Learn more

Make sure you are eligible for Hold Mail service: Residential or Business
