I think we are find out that "military style" non-restricteds, have a tendency to jump to prohibitted, without becoming restricted, first.
A short barrelled tavor is a tavor with a shorter barrel made in the United States that is a little cheaper and is restricted. Log barrelled tavors will be Israeli made and non restricted, which is a huge bonus for some come reclassification day. Thanks for the comments, mostly looking for anyone that can shed some light on whether the restricted version is just a Tavor with a short barrel![]()

That was the answer I was looking for, saw a restricted version on one of the sponsors sites and it was for a lot less $$ and since 90% of my firearms are restricted anyway and I have no desire to hunt anymore, I thought this might be the route to go.
Thanks for the info, I am still undecided....the short barrel does look cool, but I am now leaning towards the Israeli version. Decisions, decisions...LOL
Is resale in the future a factor? I'm curious what the resale difference, if any, is between the two?
