I saw a norc M 311 on lever arms site had a 20 inch barrel , is it restricted ? usually anything 18.5 plus is non restricted ? I dont have any tactical weapons but that looks pretty cool .

M311 is restricted.
 
Basically all prohibited and restricted firearms are classed as such because a justice minister has decided it. The AR15 family of firearms (well, the lower receivers anyway) are specifically classed restricted firearms based on nothing more than their name. I suppose on the bright side we're lucky they haven't been called prohibited... but I wouldn't put it past the Liberals to do that the next chance they get in office.
 
You'd have to build a fence around Alberta to keep the incoming Conservatives fleeing the rest of the country in line! Although "how did you vote in the last Federal election" would be an interesting entry quiz!
 
That would be sweet if we left. And saying the east wouldn't miss us I don't think that is very true, they would totally miss all the money we ship that way.
