Restricted PAL challenge in a few hours, tips?

The written is easy, if you passed the non-restricted you shouldn't have any problems, most of it is common sense with repeated questions.

As for the practical, make sure you keep the muzzle end planted on the table so you don't point it out of bounds.

REMEMBER THE ATT when making ready for travel...

Also, at the end of the practical, they will ask you to store it, make sure you tell them how you're storing it away from the ammo and in accordance with the law. When you put it in the case MOVE THE CASE from horizontal to vertical so that when it's in the case, the muzzle is STILL POINTING in the correct direction.

You are challenging the exam... so I can assume you have previous gun knowledge.
Basically, use common sense, and don't point the muzzle at the examiner during the practical. I challenged the exam after not having any restricted arms for the last 17 years. It was easy. I am awaiting my restricted PAL.

Well, I'm back.... guess the only question now is....

Berretta 92?
XD45?
taurus 24/7 ?

Thanks for the tips! 100% practical 98% written (apparently data stamps are not found on Slides? news to me ;) )

NaOH, wasn't worried as soon as I saw the 92 on the bench, grew up with a lot of marines ;)

you can play mix and match with slides/barrels on some handguns. cartridges don't care what slide is on the gun, but they do care into which barrel they are being chambered. Data stamp on the barrel is the only one that counts.

yeah, but they are found on Slides too, so two right answers for that particular question. meh, don't care, I passed. have 10+ years of longarm experience, handgun transition was easy.

Maybe the question should read "Where can you find a data stamp that you need to pay attention to?"

BTW, lots of people got that one wrong when I wrote my test too.

Oh, the answer to the other question is easy!

Beretta 92 all the way.
