Restricted Purchase - Transfer Question

I am purchasing a restricted from a business that has initiated the transfer and provided me with a reference number. Who do I call and give the ref# to so the transfer can be finished? Is it the CFC or the CFO?

The ref is for you to check if you want not to complete the transfer as this is a business your buying from. I have never had to call and finish a transfer when buying from business.

You dont need to do anything. Be more intrested in the tracking number for when it is going to arrive at your door.

I recently bought my first restricted, and apparently in BC you now have to call the CFC with your reference number and request to have the transfer notification sent to yourself or the store you bought it from because now they wont do it without the buyers consent. I got a piece of paper from the store I bought from and that was pretty much what it said on it

I purchased a restricted last week and was told the same thing. Something to do with the privacy act. When you call the number, wait until you actually speak to someone. They can fax the Statt directly to the store, if you are able to pick up on the same day. That is what I did. The firearm was at home in my safe the same day I bought it. Now all I need to wait for is the registration from Ottawa.
