Restricted semi-auto shotgun?

no.
restricted ARs, handguns fill a niche that is difficult or impossible to fill with other guns.
there is nothing that this shotgun can do that you cant do just as well with a non-restricted short shotgun.

also: to me, short shotguns = home defense, wildlife defense, zombie defense :D
in this case, a reliable pump or break action is a superior action to a semi-auto.
 
If it had a big silencer like in the movie, No Country For Old Men, then I'd jump right on it. But...You can find the same thing or better in a non restricted package.
 
yes, those longer lengths may be OK ie 14" plus, but my guess is, since the gas port is so close to the end of the barrel on the shorty in the OP, it may have problems. A couple more inches make a big different in gas port pressure and dwell time.

There is of course the other issue of no market.
