RESULTS/PICS***280yd rifle match at AMA Halifax SATURDAY 7 MARCH***RESULTS/PICS

V7,

Many thanks for taking this up and running it!

I'm afraid with the condition of the road and the firing point, that might be about the last organized event for now.

We will be graveling and laying a concrete pad down at that firing point. Less mud is better...

A great time had by all. Thanks for putting this one on. Once the range is fixed up (and dries up) maybe a few more like this?

Also, some great pictures on here! That was some fine photography. Was it Greg that took most of these pics? Well done.

I spoke with the Range manager after the match, and we spoke about fixing the "mud" issue on the firing point.

Just as a heads up, there are improvements planned for that firing point, but not until the roads are dry enough to bring equipment in to do the work.

I think, when that work is done, I'm going to spearhead an kick-off match for that range.

More to follow, keep your ears to the ground, and if you're not on the AMA's e-mail distribution list, please contact the club via the website and get on it!

To elaborate on that, there's certian times of the year that you can't run a fully loaded gravel truck down the highways without getting a big fine and we've just about entered that time. Things will be better by May.

Spent a couple of afternoons sharing benches out side at Dartmouth Crossing with frustrated guys who would have willingly spent all day in a gun shop or range, instead of shopping for frilly stuff. Do it (again) and they will come. Smiling Bluenosers outside...gotta love it.

Can you imagine a shop with an indoor range at the crossing? One can only dream.
