What can I say about SFRC that hasn’t already been said? Not so long ago, SFRC had a promotion to commemorate the end of the long gun registry for the many members here at Canadiangunnutz. I’m sure the folks who participated had fun and the winner got a free Norinco JW15 22LR. Let me start by stating that not many retailers offer free product, so my hat off to you Ryan for doing promotions like "Thursday frees stuff!" and the Norinco give-a-way. It is much appreciated and does not go unnoticed.

The service I received from Ryan at SFRC was excellent, not long after posting the winning post I received a private message from Ryan asking for my contact information which I promptly supplied him with. Now seeing how this was my first time getting a firearm online I completely forgot to send him a copy of my PAL, so there was a slight delay that was partly my fault. After I had faxed in my PAL however, it did get miss placed, In Ryan’s defence, he was out of the shop at the time and Bill C-19 was just on the verge of becoming reality so I can just Imagine how flooded the store must have been with paperwork. I have 7 years of retail experience so I know how crazy things can get. Ryan was quick to resolve the issue and I soon received notification that my Norinco was on its way with a tracking number. Communication between Ryan and I was very fluid with no more than a day between replies, very professional service.

The other thing that I check when I order anything online which is often neglected is proper packaging. Living in the Yukon, most Items that I order tend to travel long distances before arriving to their new home, so I appreciate it when a company take a little time and care in properly packing their product. In this case the gun came packed in Styrofoam nuggets, which we all love to hate, in a properly sized boxed . I was also pleasantly surprised to find a nice little bonus at the bottom of the box as compensation for the delay. To top it all off Ryan also sent me a PM on the date the product was due to arrive to make sure everything was in order.

Over all SFRC is a very professional company that offers a wide range of products to suite most peoples firearms needs and wants. Ryan in particular was very professional, easy to communicate with, and pleasant to deal with. I’m looking forward to dealing with SFRC again on my next purchase and strongly recommend SFRC to anyone who is considering ordering online.

As for the Norinco well, the quality of the product does not reflect the distributor and unfortunately, I am having issues with it. This could be due to the Cosmo line gunk that all norincos seem to come slathered in. Under any other circumstance I would not have ordered a Norinco but at the end of the day you get what you pay for and in this case, the gun was free, so I’m not complaining! I will post pictures in another forum of the current issue I’m having with the gun. I knew from day 1 that Norincos were a hit and miss, unfortunately I think I may have gotten a Lemon. I will never purchase a Norinco, but I will most definitely order from SFRC again.

Thanks for reading and I hope some of you find this review helpful.

Thanks for the kind review. If you aren't able to sort out the issue just let me know. It also comes with a 5 year warranty :)

never ordered from sfrc, but i think its time to make my first order, all the good reviews and great prices hard not to. keep up the good work

I did a recent online order with SFRC and it was quick and painless. Response emails were done quickly and I was sent a tracking number for the package within a couple days of my order being sent off. There was no need to even pick up the phone to complete my order because the emails were so quick and communication was great. My sks and ammo arrived in less than a week from order to door. Can't beat that unless you walk in and pick it up, but most good gun shops are close to an hour away from me. With gas prices today it's cheaper to have it shipped than drive to pick it up.

The one other thing I noticed as well, from SFRC was the packaging. I ordered an SVT40 from another supporting retailer on this site, that shall remain unnamed, and it was sent in a disgusting mess of three pieces of cardboard wrapped around my gun. The gun was loose inside the cardboard roll of three pieces and the magazine and other items were loose in the box banging around....it was pathetic....I know it wasn't a $1000 gun but come on. SFRC, however, obviously took time to protect and box my $200 SKS with proper boxes and styrofoam nuggets. Even the ammo box had foam pellets so the boxes wouldn't move inside the bigger box. They take care of the little things that matter and will be getting my business again very soon.

I'd never order anything from SFRC Online!!!!

:D
(I'd just drive to the shop, browse and pick it up and buy it there)
Nice to be close enough to shop in person!
