reticle leveler

Just use a couple of strings with some weights, attach one to the top of butt of the stock and another to a door handle or so, they will allow you to put the gun up vertically and to allign vertical reticle with the second one. :D

I have a Wheeler that I used once. I've levelled three scopes now by eyeballing it, and everyone who has shot my rifles have commented that my crosshairs are dead on. :D

I just look from well behind the rifle and scope and see if the 6'oclock crosshair lines up somewhat in the top middle of my receiver. Of course I'm not a long range precision shooter...

thanks guys, i have tried eyeballing it and it looks good then i go to the range again and it looks canted. i thought i should pick up some kind of a tool to help rule out the canted reticle thing.

With my gun wearing a Harris swivel bipod, I took a small bubble level from a broken 3' level, placed it on the base (or some flat surface on the top of the gun), and made the gun level.

Then, I placed the scope loosely in the rings, and placed the level on the top of the top turret, and rotated the scope until it was level.

Then, carefully snug down the ring screws evenly, rechecking for level frequently.

Done, and PERFECTLY square and level with the gun!
