Hi!

I was checking stuff around for the WK-180C (Didn't received mine yet) and i was wondering if it was possible to find and install one of those retractable stocks on it. Similar to many HK guns like the MP5A3, HK51, HK416C, etc...

Figured that the total length of the rifle should conform easily with the 26 inches total requirements for NR status even with a retractable or folding stock.

OAL doesn't matter, the barrel is the NR part in this case.

Also yes, you can install whatever AR stock you want, even the PDW type.

Wrong. There is a minimum OAL requirement for firearms with folding stocks, otherwise they will be restricted.

restricted firearm means

(b) a firearm that

(i) is not a prohibited firearm,

(ii) has a barrel less than 470 mm in length, and

(iii) is capable of discharging centre-fire ammunition in a semi-automatic manner,

(c) a firearm that is designed or adapted to be fired when reduced to a length of less than 660 mm by folding, telescoping or otherwise

The WK 180C can fire with the stock completely removed. Someone would have to measure if the barrel and receiver together measure longer than 660mm. If thats the case then you can put whatever you want on it.

With the barrel alone being 472 mm, that only leaves 188 for the receiver, which I am pretty sure you should be safe.

Okay i made some calculations. An AR-15 receiver is 7.5 inches long, without any buffer tube or ring. 18.6 inches + 7.5 = 26.1, so even no stock on an AR-15 would make it NR, if he wasn't restricted purely by name. But an AR need the buffer tube, so even then it would be slightly longer.

A WK-180C receiver is longer by itself, so it's safe to say that even with no stock at all, the 180C will always be long enough to fit the OAL requirements.

But sadly i can't seem to be able to find PDW type stocks in Canada. Does anyone know where to find somes?

Would the CCS ones from NEA be fitadaptable?

Honestly, i can't say. I can't even say if any PDW stock will work since it's a different receiver, maybe it won't fit due to the receiver. But technically, if it fit on a AR tube, it should fit on the WK. I'm just not sure if you can actually use the retractable feature. Which is kind of the point of a retractable stock.

685mm give or take - end of barrel to end of receiver (excluding stock adapter). Note I removed the flash hider and have a faux suppressor installed. Measurement is 'end of barrel'.

OAL not an issue

The only way to know if the CCS or similar stock will fit is to do some measuring or wait for someone else to do it for you.
Not sure why you would want such a short stock on this rifle but it's your rifle so do whatever you want and be sure to post some pics and let us know how it turned out.
