Sir, you are on a subject close to my heart.
Unfortunately I am away from home. I consider the lowly scattergun of buckshot capable, the real tool of close range, and a cornerstone of our western civilization.
Overseas in lawless lands they stand guard at checkpoints, and keep our troops healthier culling diseased feral dogs.
At home the big gauge and 00 buckshot keep criminals behind the wire where they belong, while in the hands of correctional employees.
And a valuable emergency life saving tool for police officers on our sometimes dangerous city streets.
What else should an entry man/woman carry I ask??

My own social smoothbores include;
-reproduction blunderbuss, antique 10 gauge SxS coach gun, several extended magazine Ithaca pump guns & one restricted 20 gauge

(just a retired paratrooper here that never got to actually pull the trigger on our nice & shiny 1100s overseas) :(

Here is mine 1960's wingmaster Remington mag extension, take off peep and front sight from a norinco.

Interesting build. Did you un-braze a sight from a Norc barrel and re-braze it to a Remington barrel, or is the whole barrel nor?

Unlike some people, I think the Norinco sights are a decent design. Simple, rugged and businesslike. I think the protective wings are a great idea for the rear sight.

I'm thinking that rear with a winged Vang-Comp front sight would be a nice combo.

My gunsmith took the sight off of a norc barrel and brazed or silver soldered it to the wingmasters barrel. I really like the norinco sights, I did drill and tap one of the locking screws on the rear sight to a larger allen head set screw. It wasn't required but i really don't like slot screws. Are you going to put that sweet norc that you profiled the rear hump on in this thread?
