Retro Scattergun Builds and Discussion Thread

Not a "built" per se, but a modern Remington 870P with a refinished (by me) 1951 Wingmaster stock set. A "fun" gun mostly, but sometimes...I have to persuade pigeons from returning to roost in the barn. :)

I would crawl through a pile of broken glass for that stock set. Absolutely gorgeous, and great to see it being used as intended.

Thanks! :) I passed on the first few I found in the EE...thought they were overpriced. Ended-up paying even more, but the set I found was in like-new condition. (the wood, not the finish on it) I like the way it looks, but for this time of year...the plastic Police butt stock is back on, and a black Hogue pumper. Better grip with gloves. :)

I picked up a 1970 Wingmaster a while ago:

The wood on it was a bit dry so I just oiled it:

Not sure if it was original or not or when this style of furniture was introduced.

I've added a blued mag extension, but some have suggested I remove it to keep the original look? Thoughts?

Room Broom Auto 5

Got My hands on a very rough Auto 5, chopped the barrel down short, ported the barrel for compensation (the shorter barrel kicked pretty good), cleaned everything up and completely re-blued it. I also decided to blue the bolt group, I like the all one dark colour quasi old school tact kinda look.

The kind of shotty you'd choose to bust up an old speakeasy or shine still, back in the day.

pretty cool

It depends on how many fit in the tube now. I think it looks badass just the way it is, sometimes less is best.
